焊接鋼管采（cǎi）用的坯料是鋼板或帶鋼，因（yīn）其焊（hàn）接工藝不同而分為爐（lú）焊管（guǎn）、電焊(電阻焊)管和自動電弧焊管。因其焊接形式的不同分為直縫（féng）焊管和螺旋焊管兩種（zhǒng）。因其端部形狀又分（fèn）為圓形焊管和異型(方（fāng）、扁等)焊管。焊管因其材質和用途（tú）不同而分為如下若（ruò）幹品種：

GB/T3091-1993 (Galvanized Welded Steel Pipe for Low Pressure Fluid Conveyance). Mainly used for conveying water, gas, air, oil, heating hot water or steam and other general low pressure fluids and other purpose pipes. Its representative material is grade Q235A steel.

GB/T3092-1993 (Galvanized Welded Steel Pipe for Low Pressure Fluid Conveyance). Mainly used for conveying water, gas, air, oil, heating hot water or steam and other general low pressure fluids and other purpose pipes. Its representative material is Q235A grade steel.
GB/T14291-1992(礦用流體輸（shū）送焊接（jiē）鋼管)。主要用於礦山壓風、排水、軸放瓦（wǎ）斯用直縫焊接鋼管。其代表材質Q235A、B級鋼。GB/T14980-1994(低壓流體輸送用（yòng）大直徑電（diàn）焊鋼管)。主要用於輸送水、汙水、煤氣、空氣、采暖蒸汽等（děng）低壓流體（tǐ）和其它用途。其代表材質Q235A級鋼。
GB/T 14291-1992 (Welded Pipe for Mine Fluid Transport). Mainly used for mine air pressure, drainage, shaft gas drainage with straight seam welded steel pipe. Its representative material is grade Q235A and B steel. GB/T 14980-1994 (Large Diameter Welded Steel Pipe for Low Pressure Fluid Conveyance). It is mainly used for conveying low pressure fluids such as water, sewage, gas, air, heating steam and other purposes. Its representative material is grade Q235A steel.
GB/T12770-1991(機械結構用不鏽鋼焊接鋼管)。主要用於機械、汽車、自（zì）行車、家具、賓館和飯店裝飾及其他機械（xiè）部件與結構件。其代表材質0Cr13、1Cr17、00Cr19Ni11、1Cr18Ni9、0Cr18Ni11Nb等。
